Training and Preparation
Ideally you need to start training as soon as possible, running backwards once a week. You may look student doing this but you will find the fun run a lot easier. Look out for our training tips and advice on the beginners guide page and share your tips for training and nutrition via our Facebook
page.
Fundraising for Charity
This is an excellent event to get people to sponsor you to take part and complete the course. Lets face it, how many of your friends can say that they have taken part in a backward run. We would like you to raise as much sponsorship as you can to help our official Manchester charities Forever Manchester and The Heroes Project. Both support local causes. There is a minimum of £20 sponsorship requested from all competitors.
Information about our official charities

Forever Manchester - Raises money to invest in the grants that support local people trying to make a change in their neighbourhoods. Money raised will help to fund projects and initiatives that would otherwise struggle to get off the ground.

The Heroes Project - provides a number of initiatives that serve to recognise equality, encourage inclusion and engage people with learning disabilities, their friends and guests.
